Roleplaying isn't just a game. It is a art.  You actually visualize yourself as someone else, and try to comprehend what that "character" would do in a given situation. You follow along in his or her foot-steps and play along as if you were a character in a television show.
To start out, you need mIRC. If you do not have it, you can get it here. It is expected that you know a bit about mIRC before you go into this game.  mIRC tutorials can be found in many places on the web, except for here!

Playing a Mortal
Step 1: Make your character's background. Make up all of the interesting details about him or her.  What does he or she look like? Where did he or she grow up? How did he or she get to where they are today? Too much information is never a bad thing. It helps in determining how your character would act in different situations.
Step 2: Choose your character's apperance.  What peculiar marks or scars does he or she have? What color hair? Eyes? Here are some examples.

Good Example
Bad Example
*Kaleb steps into the door, his blue eyes slowly absorbing in the room. He walks slowly over to the bar, throwing his bag off of his tanned muscular shoulder revealed by his white wifebeater, and it falls onto the floor. He looks out admist his rather long blond hair, reaching down past his eyes and dripping sweat and quietly sits himself atop the bar. *Kaleb enters. He has blue eyes, blond hair, and a tanktop.
The more you describe your character, the better that others will be able to visualize it.
Step 3: Play! Connect to irc.dal.net, hebron.dal.net, apollo.dal.net, or webbernet.dal.net and join #Vampire'sTouch.  But remember the following.
OOC means Out of Character. If you want to say anything Out of Character to another player, then say it in OOC brackets. Let's have another example.

There is an unending battle to keep ooc ooc, and ic (in character) ic. Do not be offended when another character does something to your character, because it doesn't mean that the character's mun (or the person playing the character) doesn't like you.
Use the /me command to describe what you are doing.  It is important you describe the best you can.
